The Sensory Aspect of Knitting
The sensory aspect of knitting

Most of the yarns I’ve chosen are natural fibers like silk and cotton.  As much as I love a wool sweater, I don’t get the same feeling from having wool run through my fingers as when I use silk.    Knitting will always be about the end result, but the journey is important as well.

Treasure every aspect of the project...
  • agonizing over the color
  • ordering the yarn
  • creating the swatch
  • making each piece
  • weaving in the end
  • blocking each piece
  • sewing it together
  • wearing it for the first time!

Please feel free to call me to discuss yarn colors or selection – it’s a step in the project journey and should be fun!  Some knitters wonder if it’s really necessary to do the swatch.  I say it’s vitally important.  PLEASE DO THE SWATCH – don’t hate it.  It’s kind of like putting make up foundation on under your face powder.
